Because international financing partners are critical to funding today’s independent feature films.
IFF is a feature film co-financing event at the Toronto International Film Festival that brings together selected international and Canadian producers developing English language projects to do business in a relaxed atmosphere of brokered meetings and networking opportunities with international sales agents, distributors, funders, agents, and executive producers.
In 2010 selected producers met with each other as well as representatives from: Aramid Capital (UK); Bankside (UK);BBC Films (UK); Big Beach (US); Canada Film Capital (Canada); Cinetic Media (US); E1(Canada); Echo Lake (US); Element Pictures (Ireland); Film4 (UK); Fortissimo Films (The Netherlands/Hong Kong); Haut et Court (France); ICM (US); IFC Entertainment (US); Kinowelt International (Germany); K5 (Germany); Magnolia Pictures (USA); The Match Factory (Germany); Memento Films International (France); Paramount Pictures (USA); Participant Media (USA); Pathe Entertainment (UK); Quickfi re (UK); Sidus (Korea); Sierra Films (US); Sundance Film Festival (USA); United Talent Agency (USA); Voltage Pictures (USA); Wildbunch (France); William Morris Endeavor (USA).
Canadian and International feature film producers are invited to apply to participate in the IFF. Registration is free but competitive, with final selection to participate based on company track record and the suitability of projects. ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROJECTS ONLY.
Eligible applicants must have, at a minimum, one full producer credit on a theatrically released feature, and 1-2 market oriented co-productions in development that require international financing partners. Producers with only Executive Producer, Co-Producer and Associate Producer credits are not eligible.
