OMDC Export Fund - Music

The OMDC Export Fund has been developed to provide eligible Ontario companies with funding to pursue export development activities that correspond to a strategy for company growth. Primary activities supported are market event attendance and targeted sales trips that support the strategy.


NOTE:
Please read the complete guidelines thoroughly prior to commencing your application.


New for 2011:

· The number of eligible program activities is capped at five. In the event an Applicant applies to the Export Fund with more than five activities, only the first five will be considered for funding purposes.

· Successful Export Fund recipients will be permitted up to two activity changes with OMDC approval over the course of the year for which the OMDC Export Fund applies. Prior to undertaking a new activity (not listed as an activity under the original Export Fund application), Export Fund recipients must notify OMDC of the activity change and provide activity-specific information along with a revised budget that includes the costs associated with the new activity. Any additional changes (more than two) will not be permitted and will be at the sole expense of the applicant.

Online Application Portal (OAP) re: Application Submissions:

  • Applications must be submitted via the OMDC Online Application Portal (OAP) system. Applications submitted by any other method will not be accepted.
  • Prior to commencing an application, your Company’s corporate information must be registered. If you do not have a user account on OAP, please go to https://apply.omdc.on.ca and click on “Register”.
  • If registered, the OMDC Music Fund program deadline will appear in your dashboard. To start the application, click on “Start new application” and follow the directions through the 5 step wizard to access the application form.

Funding Available:
(Record labels, music publishers, artist management firms)

Participating companies are eligible to receive up to $12,000 capped at 50% of the total costs for all activities.

Companies may still apply for assistance through the OMDC Music Fund for export activities; however markets and fairs supported by the OMDC Music Fund will not be eligible for support under the Export Fund and vice versa.
