OMDC Magazine Fund
Deadline: Thursday, September 22, 2011 by 5 p.m.
The OMDC Magazine Program was developed to increase the financial viability of Canadian magazines from Ontario-based publishers. Funding will be provided to support projects that have clear, objective and measurable results and/or indicate direct and positive impact on the overall long-term business growth of the magazine publisher. Priority results include enhancement of publisher revenues and the creation/retention of jobs in the Ontario publishing industry. OMDC will measure results of the program based on return on investment and jobs created and retained.
Full eligibility requirements and guidelines are outlined in OMDC Magazine Fund Guidelines.
Guidelines and eligibility requirements are the same as last year.
- Applications must be submitted via the OMDC Online Application Portal (OAP).
- If submitting two projects, a separate application must be completed for each project; a maximum of two applications per company may be submitted.
Online Application Portal (OAP) re: Application Submissions:
- As indicated above, all applications must be submitted via the OMDC Online Application Portal (OAP) system. Applications submitted by any other method will not be accepted.
- All applicants are strongly encouraged to commence their applications early to allow for enough time should assistance be required.
- Prior to commencing an application, your Company’s corporate information must be registered. If this has not already been done, you should register as soon as possible by going to: https://apply.omdc.on.ca/.
- If you encounter problems setting up your Company’s corporate information, you can email applyhelp@omdc.on.ca for assistance. This email address can also be used for any technical questions you have about the OAP.

OMDC Magazine Fund Application Process:
1. If you do not have a user account on OAP, please go to https://apply.omdc.on.ca and click on “Register”.
2. If registered, the OMDC Magazine Fund program deadline will appear in your dashboard. To start the application, click on “Start new application” and follow the directions through the 5 step wizard to access the application form.
** OMDC reserves the right to revise Guidelines and Application Forms. Please ensure that you have the current versions before preparing your documentation.

Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the upcoming information session to have their questions answered.

Location: Fifth Floor, 175 Bloor St. East, South Tower, Toronto – NOTE: directly across the hall from the OMDC offices
Registration is required to attend the OMDC Magazine Fund information session, please complete our online form by Tuesday, July 19, 2 p.m. Unregistered guests will only be accepted if space permits.
This information session will also be accessible online via WebEx. Access to this service is limited. Priority will be given to persons with disabilities who have accessibility issues, and registrants outside of the GTA. Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to attend via WebEx. WebEx participants will receive an invitation via email with a link and password for logging into the session. WebEx participants will also join on a conference call while viewing the session online.
Please note: If you are interested in attending this Ontario Media Development Corporation Information Session but require it be conducted in French please send a request to programs2@omdc.on.ca by July 15, 2011 and arrangements will be made to schedule an additional session on an alternate date.
