Domestic Markets and Events

Ontario Media Development Corporation provides indirect support to Ontario’s cultural entrepreneurs by partnering with third parties to offer events and activities that stimulate the growth of the cultural media industries. Eligible initiatives include:

  • Significant annual markets and festivals that provide targeted business development opportunities for Ontario companies that create and sell content in the book, film, interactive digital media, magazine, music or television industries
  • Stand alone events offered by recognized industry associations with memberships that closely match the OMDC client groups within the book, film, interactive digital media, magazine, music and television industries

Organizations that are interested in receiving support through the OMDC for activities that fit the descriptions above are instructed to contact OMDC to discuss the eligibility of their proposed activity. Please note that inquiries must be received at least 8 weeks in advance of an activity in order for OMDC to consider the request.
