OMDC Book Fund

The OMDC Book Fund is designed to increase financial viability and overall business growth of Ontario-based publishers through:
  • Marketing initiatives which profile the works of Canadian authors to both foreign and domestic markets; and/or
  • Activities that build on or leverage existing digital capacity that enable publishers at various levels to achieve business development and/or marketing objectives that best suit their individual corporate goals.

Full eligibility requirements and details are outlined in the OMDC Book Fund Guidelines. Guidelines and eligibility requirements are the same as last year.


Online Application Portal (OAP) re: Application Submissions:

  • If submitting two projects, one for a traditional marketing project and one for a digital enhancement project, a separate application must now be completed for each project; a maximum of two applications per company may be submitted.

 

  • Prior to commencing an application, your Company’s corporate information must be registered. If this has not already been done, you should register as soon as possible by going to: https://apply.omdc.on.ca/.

 

  • If you encounter problems setting up your Company’s corporate information, you can email applyhelp@omdc.on.ca for assistance. This email address can also be used for any technical questions you have about the OAP.

OMDC Book Fund Application Form:

1. If you do not have a user account on OAP, please go to https://apply.omdc.on.ca and click on “Register”.

2. If registered, the OMDC Book Fund program deadline will appear in your dashboard. To start the application, click on “Start new application” and follow the directions through the 5 step wizard to access the application form.

Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the upcoming OMDC Book Fund and Export Fund Information Session.
