OMDC and Ontario Magazine Publishers Attended Digital Media Strategies Conference

In September, OMDC supported the attendance of eight Ontario magazine media professionals at the Digital Media Strategies USA conference in New York.

Digital Media Strategies USA brings together leading CEOs, senior executives and innovators from newspapers, magazines, B2B publishers, broadcasters and digital media businesses new and old, big and small, as well as brands and agencies. The conference provided a high-quality opportunity for Ontario publishing professionals to advance their business strategies and knowledge, and expand their international networks. In addition to keynotes and panels, the conference experience included roundtable meetings and a VIP Networking Dinner for the OMDC-supported delegates and selected guests.

OMDC’s support is part of an ongoing emphasis on International Business Development initiatives to encourage magazine media professionals to explore international business opportunities. The OMDC-supported delegates were from Media Matters, AZURE Magazine, Precedent Magazine, Cottage Life, Maple Media and The Bay St. Bull and Magazines Canada. The feedback was very positive!

“(The) experience was extremely well coordinated; communication to delegates was very effective. Thank you to the OMDC for providing this opportunity. In addition to networking with international delegates, the Canadian delegates had a chance to exchange ideas and connect on shared opportunities in Canada” - Penny Caldwell, Cottage Life
