Magazine Publisher Success Stories from the OMDC Magazine Fund at MagNet 2014

The OMDC Magazine Fund supports the business development of independent Ontario-based magazine publishers. This event presents high-performing print, digital, marketing and business development projects supported by the Magazine Fund, with David McConnachie, Alternatives Journal; Sam Cohen, Canadian Running; and Kevin Bartus, Maple Media in a panel moderated by Sharon McCauley.  Watch for project ideas, strategies for new business models, examples of best practices and insights on industry trends.

Congratulations to OMDC-supported Cottage Life, winner of the coveted Magazine of the Year title, and to The Walrus for racking up the highest number of Gold and Silver awards (seven and six). Other magazines receiving OMDC Magazine Fund support also picked up awards - Maclean’s collected four Gold and one Silver awards, and THIS Magazine, Azure and United Church Observer all collected Gold.
