Industry Survey: Share Your Experiences and Interest in Mobile Apps with ICTC

With funding from OMDC’s Research Grant program, the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is conducting a study to help understand the impact of the emergence of mobile apps on our industries: book, magazine, music, film, TV and interactive digital media. We encourage you to share your company’s experiences and interest in working with mobile apps at this online survey. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes and individual responses will remain strictly confidential. The results of this project will be available to OMDC stakeholders.

If your company develops apps, ICTC would like to hear from you too. Click here to complete the app developers’ survey.

OMDC-Supported Research

A Re-Imagined Book Fair, was undertaken by The Association for Art and Social Change to study the feasibility of a potential Toronto international book fair. Researchers surveyed and interviewed Canadian book publishers and other publishing industry stakeholders and examined seven existing international book fairs. This research found that the publishing industry in Canada sees a need for an international book fair as a way to connect with and engage readers, and network with industry partners. You can read the full report here. The feasibility study received funding through the OMDC Research Grants program.
