Call for nominations – awards for outstanding achievement in the creative industries

Nominations for the 2014 Premier’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts are open.

Ontario is one of North America’s top entertainment and media economies, and that’s in large part due to your achievements. Your work breathes life into communities across our province, helps drive innovation and makes Ontario’s cultural products known around the globe.

Now is the time – help us recognize your peers, colleagues and mentors for the wealth and depth of their imaginative expression and for their role in building Ontario’s entertainment and creative cluster.

You can submit a nomination for the Premier’s Awards in one of two categories: an artist award of $35,000 and an arts organization award of $50,000. Content creators and not-for-profit or for-profit commercial enterprises engaged in any professional arts practice in Ontario whose work or service spans a minimum of 10 years are eligible. Submitting a nomination by the December 2, 2013 deadline is easy. Submit your testimonial letter, a description of your nominee and a selection of media clippings about them. Details and nomination forms are on the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) website. The OAC manages the awards selection process on behalf of the Ontario government.
