Online survey to measure innovation in Ontario’s creative industries

How does your organization innovate? This is the question the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport is asking through an online survey.

Ontario’s creative industries continue to thrive and gain recognition as contributors to innovation and economic prosperity. While the entertainment and creative cluster benefits from investment and support from governments, education institutions and industry organizations, it continues to face challenges. These include technological advances, global competition, financial structure and business sustainability, and the risk of falling behind other jurisdictions and clusters in innovation. This highlights the need to understand the current state of innovation, including the dynamics that underpin the cluster and how this fosters growth and prosperity in the broader Ontario economy.

The ministry is asking creative organizations to participate by sharing information about their innovative practices through this survey. Your opinions and feedback are important and will give the ministry a deeper understanding of current business conditions and the competitive environment in which you operate.

The data collected will be used by the ministry to develop a provincial policy to better support the cluster. Complete the survey today.
