2012 Premier’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts – The Nominations Are In!
December 1 was the deadline for submitting nominations for the 2012 Premier’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts, and Ontarians from across the province responded with enthusiasm. Over 160 nominations have been submitted in recognition of the leadership, innovation, creativity and talent of our artists and arts organizations.
The total monetary value of the Premier’s Awards is $120,000. The winning artist will receive $35,000 and will select a new or emerging artist to receive a prize of $15,000. The winning arts organization will be awarded $50,000, and remaining finalists in both categories will each receive $2,000.
