March 17, 2014 – OMDC Research Grant Application Deadline 2013/2014

Ongoing | OMDC's Industry Development Program now incorporates the previous OMDC Trade Organization Support and Domestic Markets and Events programs. The program offers financial and, where appropriate, strategic support to established trade and event organizations that are undertaking initiatives that provide business growth and business development opportunities for Ontario cultural media companies. Mobile Apps: Generating Economic Gains for Creative Media Industries in Ontario is a new study by the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC). This study explores the impact of mobile apps on Ontario’s creative media industries, identifying sources of financing for app creation, levels of mobile app adoption by other creative media industries, incremental employment and revenues attributable to mobile apps, and challenges to greater adoption of mobile apps. The report presents growth strategies needed for Ontario’s creative media and mobile app industries to continue to flourish. You can read the report here.
