2015 Highlights

Ontario – A World Class Production Centre for Film And Television

Film and television production contributed $1.29 billion to the provincial economy in 2014 – the fourth year in a row over the one billion dollar mark – sending a welcome message of jobs and stability, and reflecting Ontario’s reputation as a top-quality and reliable jurisdiction.

November 2015 - In Los Angeles, Premier Wynne met with executives from the Motion Picture Association of America to strengthen ties with film industry leaders and promote Ontario as an ideal place for film production. Ontario has one of the most effective cultural media tax credit programs nationally and internationally

Insight Production’s Canada-UK co-production, How To Change The World (an OMDC Film Fund-supported documentary feature) shared this year’s Candescent Award with (T)error at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. It also won the World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for editing.

OMDC’s IFF Celebrates 10th Anniversary during TIFF!
