Ontario @ Siggraph 2014 in Vancouver, BC

Aug. 12-14: For third year in a row, The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Employment, and its supporting partners including the OMDC, invite you to be part of the Ontario trade mission to Siggraph 2014. The program is open to 12 Ontario-based companies in the computer graphics and interactive technology sectors. Priority registration will be given for first time participants in an Ontario mission. Benefits include turn-key exhibit space in the award-winning Ontario Pavilion (# 801) located at a main entrance, a program targeting potential clients, databases of local and international contacts and networking activities, and two exhibitor passes per company. Siggraph hosts the largest exhibition of products and services for the computer graphics and interactive techniques attracting more than 20,000 professionals. The 2013 Ontario mission to Siggraph received a 90% satisfaction rating. If you are an experienced exporter to the U.S., this mission will be of interest to you.

Registration Fees: $2,200 for first time participants in an Ontario IT mission to the U.S.. Regular fee is $2,500. Past participants have priority registration if applying with a first time participant approved to join the mission. Financial assistance to eligible companies from the Export Market Access program may be available through www.exportaccess.ca. First Annual Cross Video Days Content Market – Call for Projects
The first annual Cross Video Days Content Market, taking place June 19 and 20, 2014 in Paris, France, has launched a call for projects, presenting a new opportunity for cross-media content producers. Fifty applicants will get the chance to present their multiplatform projects to key international commissioners in the following categories:

  • Cinema and Trans-media
  • Interactive Factual Projects
  • Web Series and Web Fiction
  • Cross-media TV Series and Education
  • Animation and Youth

Applications are free and the number of projects per company is unlimited.A €10,000 prize will be awarded to the best project across all categories by Knightworks, the French creation and post-production animation and VFX studio.
